L'Aquila in 3D: Building Maker in action! Barnaby Gunning proceeds in his commendable enterprise on building a 3D digital model of the city of Aquila. Simon Nicholas, a computer engineer SketchUp
says that this idea was born six months ago to "encourage and inspire discussion about the rebuilding of the city. For this, detailed aerial photos were made available to Internet users. For this reason, tools like Google Earth, SketchUp and Building Maker have been involved in this enterprise.
However, it is important to be able to build the model in sufficient time that the technical knowledge is disseminated as possible.
