continued research of the authors of the Eagle 3D models in Google Earth, we return to Buccella Antonello.
Question: How did you decide to start with 3D modeling?
Answer: I started using three-dimensional modeling, so deepened in 2007 with AutoCAD, but I knew other programs 3D modeling for many years. So, take my work for the project was Barnaby immediate and spontaneous. I hit 'the very phrase "as we do?". . . how could I make a small contribution to my city? At that moment I understood and felt that I had the ' obligation to participate in that project.
Personally, I believe much in what we're doing, L'Aquila is in a situation nothing short of sad and dramatic. . . then Google is giving us the ' opportunity to let the world know the reality of this city apart two years after the earthquake, (do not forget that this is the time for the real purpose of this initiative).
Question: What studies have you done?
Answer: Regarding my studies, I can sum to have achieved diploma (Art Institute of Aquila), and then on a street say purely "artistic" with courses in commercial art, design internal and have always done the work concerning the design and technical graphics.
Question: 3D is your main occupation, or is it just a hobby?
Answer: I currently work in Rome in an architectural firm for the past twelve years . So how do you know, SketchUp is for me a hobby that gradually plan but is showing me all his considerable potential. . .
Question: What are the (your) steps in the modeling of a building with BuildingMaker (ie, 'where to start: from the roof or from the main body)?
Answer: BuildingMaker, I know little, I participated in the "course" on Jan. 22, but I confess that I much prefer SketchUp. It gives you a way to build and understand the structures as they were actually executed, and outside and interior, as I have experienced in the model of the Oratory of S. Bominaco Pellegrino, and also allows you to fine tune the picture to get a truly realistic. . . However, I recognize that BM gives ability to create models and light in no time. But I think that inevitably has limitations, for example in the models I realized, perhaps the various details would be very difficult to pull out with a program like that. . . I talk to you anyway without knowing the true potential of BM
thank Antonello Buccella for his willingness to his commitment and his exceptional results.
This is a KML in Google Earth lets you fly around a model of Antonello. Enjoy.
